1. What is the start-up story behind your brand?

Our brand was constructed on the basis of originality and creativity. We want people to feel comfortable in being a leader and not a follower, wearing things because you truly like it not because its the new trend. We like to provide clothing that is extremely limited so that people will have a sense of originality and won’t have to worry about seeing other people wearing the same exact thing. When you own something that is limited, exclusive or really rare, you get a sense of importance and we want our customers to feel that way!

2. Describe your visual concepts, what is it like? What are three words that best define it?

Our visual concepts are influenced by the world around us. By pop culture, street artist, community, animation, manga, movies, quotes and a number of other influences. The best three words to describe it are Original, Expressive and of Kreative!

3. In three words, characterize who you are.

Funny, Kreative, Jerk

4. What’s something that’s always running inside your mind lately?

The one thing thats been running through my mind lately is how I can affect or influence people. Every person who admires someone or is inspired by someone has been drawn to that particular person because he or she was able to influence them somehow. Every great person who has ever accomplished something, made a difference in the world or to a single individual has done so by influencing that person or world through either actions or words. So I’m trying to figure out how I can make a major influence to the world and people around me!

5. Being in your position, I’m sure it can be overwhelming with the workload. How do you achieve balance in life?

To be Honest I don’t even know how I balance everything haha! I just kinda make it happen. I usually have a good sense of what needs to be done and how to put things in order of importance, so that I’m always on top of things that need to be done sooner than later. My organizational skills are probably only average compared to others, but somehow I rarely misplace things or forget to complete tasks on my to-do lists.

6. What’s one incident that would serve as a turning point to your life?

One incident that served as a turning point in my life we having one of my best friends lose his life to the Lupus disease at the age of 20 on Christmas Day. Its still hard for me to talk about, but on that day I learned a lot especially about life and how it can come and go so quickly. Thats why I try to make the most out of my life, by trying new things and making time to do all the things I want to do in life! Whether it be traveling to new places, making time for friends and family, eating at a new restaurant, sky diving, doesn’t matter what it is I just make time for it.

7. What three pieces of advice would you give to others when it comes to life & career?

The only advice I could give to others when it comes to life and having a career is to never let one consume the other! You have to be balanced. Make room for fun, family and friends but at the same time don’t let those things distract you from where you’re trying to go in your career.

8. What’s a typical day in your life like?

It really depends on the day and what I have coming up on my plate! Business-wise I got to make time to find inspiration for new designs, color schemes for those designs, marketing ideas, plans to improve business operations amongst other things! On the personal side I love cooking, sports (my tav is usually on espn or the travel channel), hanging with family & friends, and working out so I have to make time for those things also!

9. What’s one of the highlighting moment in your career? Why is it so?

I’ve had a very young career so I’m not sure if I’ve had a true highlighting moment yet, but if I have to choose one I guess it would be running into Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers and him saying that he would wear the Kreative Concepts Clothing.

10. What stops you from throwing in the towel and giving up during those frustrating days of being in this industry?

The only things that keep me going is my desire to succeed and my unwillingness to quit. Theres nothing in this world I’m more scared of than losing. I’ve always been a competitor and thats what keeps me going.

11. Biggest risk ever taken?

The biggest risk I’ve ever taken is putting my hard-earned money that I’ve saved into starting this business which I love and have great hopes for, but in all actually has no guarantee for success.

12. Who has influenced you most and been your greatest inspiration?

I can’t truly say that I have one person or thing that has influenced me the most. I’m just influenced by various people and mediums. All types of artists, environments, music, landscapes, cities, movies, just everything.

13. How do you go about marketing your business or yourself? What has been your most successful form of marketing?

As a business we mostly market through social media, community events and grassroots. The most successful form has been a combination of social media and in person advertising.

14. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?

In 5 years I can see myself in the midst of running a second business and having Kreative Concepts Clothing spread nationwide. By 10 years I can see myself as successful businessman who is deeply rooted in his community helping others prosper and getting on track to accomplishing there dreams and goals. Also I would like to have a great loving family of my own to share all my success with.

15. What’s the first thing you would say to the world if all attention was on you right now?

This is a tough question to answer without being corny or predictable. But I guess I’ll try my best. I would tell the world to embrace what you love and who you love, don’t let anyone hold you back even family and as long you’re happy with what you do and the life you live you will have success.
